Philly

The first burning car of the tour was spotted on our way into downtown Philadelphia. Hopefully nobody was still inside...

We unloaded the coach and went to explore the Cathedral Basilica of SS Peter & Paul while waiting for the hosts to arrive.
It's a large Italianate church which comfortably holds 2,000 people.

We tried out the acoustic which proved to be excellent - resonant but not blurred - then had time for a smiling practice ahead of tomorrow's concert.

The host families arrived and, after a briefing by Mr O'B, took the boys away. They all had children in the local choir and most families seemed to come from Chestnut Hill or further north west, the area known as the Main Line. The towns all have Welsh names and are considered some of the nicest suburbs in the US.

As in Atlanta, details of host families and pairings can be obtained directly from Mr O'Brien.
