Cleveland

I don't have any photos, but just to report that the Cleveland concert went well. Once again there were some very appreciative comments from the sizeable audience. It was the last time we will sing a variant of Programme A. For the final three concerts, starting in St Louis, part one will focus on the Victoria Requiem and the Elgar in part two will be replaced with Bairstow's Blessed City.

This morning we had a 250 mile coach ride across the state of Ohio to get us from Cincinnati to Cleveland. Everyone seemed very relaxed and the journey passed quickly, including a lunch stop at the Mansfield Cracker Barrel, a kind of Old Country Store where the staff were dressed in costume. Well, the boys enjoyed it!

This evening we're all in the same hotel in downtown Cleveland, just a few minutes' walk from Lake Erie.

  1. We enjoyed our time in NYC very much and thought the concert was spectacular - we will always remember it and many congratulations to all involved. Looking foward to hearing about the St Louis concert and visit. The Head Chorister's grandfather was a test pilot for McDonald Douglas in St Louis 1967-69 with the US Navy. Per ardua ad astra!
